Caterham Cars is known for raw performance and handcrafted engineering, but its digital presence lacked cohesion. The brand needed a refined visual identity system, an interactive digital experience, and a more engaging content structure to align with its high-performance reputation.

Discovery
Caterham attracts both collectors who value authenticity and racers seeking precision. The existing digital experience felt static, missing opportunities for interactive vehicle exploration, dynamic product filtering, and community-driven engagement. Our goal was to improve content navigation, introduce motion-driven storytelling, and refine product presentation.
How do we design a structured, high-performance brand and digital experience that modernises the brand while preserving its racing heritage?
Design & Execution
The new visual identity focused on redefining the logo and refining the typography and colour palette. The modernised logo was designed to maintain a connection to Caterham’s legacy while adopting cleaner, more dynamic lines to convey motion and speed. The typography was updated to match this sense of modernity, while the colour palette was adjusted to balance heritage with a more refined, professional look.
Sharper, more streamlined geometry for a sense of speed and precision, while retaining classic proportions. Introduced a slant square mark that represents a tailored craftsmanship.
A mix of bold but friendly letterforms for aggressive impact and high-legibility sans-serifs for technical specifications.
Deep acid green and carbon blacks for a sleek, performance-driven aesthetic contrasting a modern vision with the iconic heritage.
